[ Yuel had been lost in the contemplation of life, love, and all the mysteries in between when Misa wanders in, her attention immediately zooming in on the plate of cookies. ]

Thanks, Misa. These are cute! [ Immediately samples one. ] What's the occasion?

[ ERASES THE PREVIOUS THREAD TO HIDE MY SHAME but anyway. misa gives yuel and grace some time to have...whatever discussion they ran off to have... she'll track yuel down again. this time, though, she's smiling wryly, hands folded behind her back. ]

You know... you don't have to be fake to me, Yuyu. If you're with Grace, then you can just leave me alone too, okay?

[ Yuel looks pretty down when Misa finds her, giving her a tired look. ]

I ain't fakin' it. I wanted to see if you were less miserable.

[ yeah, misa. doesn't quite know how to feel. ]

I mean... I'm still dead. But at least I'm not trapped over there anymore? ... I still missed being on this side, even though I know I burned a lot of bridges after what I did.

You were gonna take away someone's life for a watch? You could've just... talked to her! Then ya wouldn't have had to die either.

[ she returns that look. ]

It's not because of the watch, Yuyu. It's because... because I wanted to make sure I indulged a lot. I wanted to get my wish!
