[ a couple of hours after trial ends, misa will find mineo (spins wheel) in the tea room. she looks a little bit of a mess, apparently not having bothered to do much in the way of cleanup after trial ended... it's fine? probably?
what's somewhat less fine is the almost timid way she approaches him, her hands crossed over her chest as she holds her black notebook tightly. ]

[he's - spacing out? sort of? it's hard to tell until you get closer, but he looks focused. like he's trying to go over every inch of the room again with his eye, to see if anything new might appear. if there could be any hint of a clue.

Because you're a civilian, and you shouldn't have to make scary decisions like that. You shouldn't have to think about things like, 'I have to vote in a way that'll affect someone's life, or else some prick will win.'

My boyfriend's dad is a cop, and he's going to join the force soon, too. Not to mention, Misa's been a suspect in a widescale investigation! [ beat ] N-not that I did anything, or that I'm saying that was a normal thing to have been a part of! But it's not like the whole thing is Mine-kun's duty either. We all agreed to be here, right? So... no sorry needed!
So... it kind of was. I mean, I left the force and all.... but at least, I know that I'm sort of more used to these situations. Even if it's not an exact match.

... and if you were already part of an investigation when you didn't do anything wrong, I'm even more sorry. That's not right either.

Is it because the justice you wanted and the justice the police delivered were different?

I don't really get what we're supposed to be doing, so I don't think you have anything to feel responsible for. And I think that's part of why your apology was bothering me.
